Privacy Policy
Last updated September 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ChangeGuard ("we", "us" or "our"), the operator of changeguard.app, collects, uses and shares information in connection with the website and the ChangeGuard service (together, the "Service"). The Service is offered to businesses in the United States. Effective September 16, 2026. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: email address, username and a password, which we store only in hashed form.
- Customer Content: the pages you designate for monitoring, the schedules, rules and notes you create, any site credentials you choose to store (encrypted at rest and used only to load the pages you designate), and the snapshots, documents, comparisons and summaries the Service produces.
- Plan and usage information: the Plan you select, the number of pages monitored and checks run, and similar records needed to operate and bill the Service.
- Billing information: your subscription status as reported by our payment processor. We do not receive or store payment card numbers.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps and similar server logs generated when you use the Service.
- Correspondence: messages you send us, including support requests.
2. How we use information
We use the information described above to provide, operate, maintain and improve the Service; to run the checks you schedule and deliver the alerts and digests you opt into; to process payments and manage your Plan; to secure the Service, prevent abuse and troubleshoot problems; to respond to your requests; to comply with legal obligations; and to enforce our Terms of Service. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Customer Content for advertising or for any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
3. How we share information
We share information only with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers that process information on our behalf, namely a payment processor and an email delivery provider, each permitted to use it only to provide its service to us.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, where necessary.
- Authorities and other parties where required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ChangeGuard, our customers or others.
- A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
Summaries of detected changes are generated on systems we operate. Customer Content is not sent to third-party artificial intelligence providers.
4. Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track
The website sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. The application stores a session token in your browser so that you remain signed in; that is the only browser storage it uses. No third party collects personal information about your online activities across different websites through the Service. Because we do not track visitors, the Service does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.
5. Security
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse, including encryption of stored credentials and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Deleting a page removes it from monitoring; closing a workspace or account removes its pages, history and members from the Service. Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
7. Your choices
You can review and change your email address, username and password, sign out other sessions, and turn any alert or digest on or off from Settings in the Service. Alert and digest emails include an unsubscribe link. You can leave a workspace, delete one you own, or close your account from the Service. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, contact us at the address below; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
8. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Location of processing
The Service is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored there. The Service is not directed to persons in the European Union or other jurisdictions outside the United States. By using the Service you consent to the transfer, processing and storage of information in the United States.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above; if the changes are material, we will also notify you by email to the address on your account or by a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
